Animal Nature

Animals are far less complicated than humans.   They live simply, approaching life from a simple framework (which is a beautiful thing), and they generally don’t bring their own baggage (as we humans do)!
This means that they respond to healing energies much more easily and quickly than humans.

Animals are very sensitive to energies, and part of their life purpose involves acting as energy buffers and absorbers for their human friends – that’s you and me.   So it’s no surprise that, over time, animals begin to reflect the personalities and imbalance patterns of their owners.
For example, a nervous human will probably have a nervous pet, while a fearful person will have a fearful, and possibly aggressive, pet.

cat health careOur animals have come into our lives to support us, and buffer us energetically from the disturbances around us as well as the energies we ourselves put out.
But if we don’t support them by ensuring regular energy cleansing and balancing, they will eventually become overloaded, emotionally disturbed and possibly very sick.

You can go a long way to supporting your animals in the obvious ways, such as good diet, lots of excersize, and providing a secure and stable enviroment, but one of the most important things they need (as we all do) is lots of loving attention.

Vibrational Healing for Animals

My work with animals is predominantly energetic and, for serious illness, in support of veterinary care.

My greatest intention is to work closely with you, the pet owner, helping you to take charge of the continuing care of your animal, in the most appropriate way.
We can address many & varied issues, both in-person and at a distance, including physical illness, emotional or behavioural problems, and the dying process (both for euthenasia and unexpected death).

Using vibrational healing methods similar to those for human clients, I connect with your animal’s Higher Self and, with the support of Nature Intelligence, work on bringing your animal’s energies back into balance.

Physical herbs or supplements are given when required, but usually only essences are used.
Essences are a wonderfully supportive medicine for animals and very easy to administer.   They are especially convenient when you need to provide ongoing treatment for your pet after the healing.

I most commonly offer distant healing for animals or attend them at their home, if possible.
As most pet owners will agree, many animals don’t like to travel.   Dogs are generally quite flexible, but cats, or small pets in cages, may be unnecessarily traumatised by the experience and, with very large animals, it just isn’t practical.
We can decide, together, what is most appropriate, depending on the circumstances.

Hands on Healing

Everyone can send out healing energy through their hands.   This is why a good hug or a lovely rub on the shoulder can be very comforting.

When you pat and cuddle your pets, their pleasure is in more than just the physically massaging effect.   They are experiencing your love and attention as a healing and nourishing energy.

You can take this a step further, when your pets are in need, by sending loving thoughts and healing energy, directly, to balance their chakras.

I can teach you more about this when we work together in your pet’s healing process, but here is a brief description of the animal’s energy field.

Animal Chakras

animal chakrasChakras
are centres of energy flow, which constantly communicate with each other, exchanging vibrational information about the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual state of the body.
We can channel healing energy through the chakras to help your animal re-balance on all levels.

Animals have eight major chakras and they are bigger and brighter in relation to their body size than those found in humans.
The Brachial Major, or Key Chakra is an animal’s master chakra and directly affects all the other chakras.   It is located either side of the body in the shoulder area and plays an important role in the animal-to-human bond.
By giving healing through this chakra we send healing energy to the entire body.
I’ve noticed, with my doggies especially, that they love a good rub and scratch in this area.   At the same time, it is one of their least favorite (most painful) areas for brushing out knots, as the skin is very sensitive.

If you wish to do some healing with your pet, it is important to respect their needs above all else.
Here are a few pointers…

Y Only touch, or hold your hand over, body areas and chakras that the animal is comfortable with.   You will be able to tell if your pet doesn’t like where you have your hand as they will become restless and unsettled.   Usually, if you stop doing whatever it was you were doing, you’ll find that they quickly settle again.

Y It is generally a good idea to avoid directly working with areas of wounds or recent surgery, as these may still be too sensitive.

Y As chakras link to each other, giving healing to any one chakra will affect them all beneficially so don’t concern yourself too much with having to be in a specific area.   With smaller animals, there is no need to even try to focus on specific chakras as your open hand will deliver healing to several at a time.

Y Be very sensitive to your pet and follow their guidance.   If they get restless or seem discomforted when you focus on a particular body area, don’t go there.   If they respond with pleasure or even further relaxation – expecially if you get a nice big sigh or yawn out of them! – you'll know you're in an area they want you to be.

Y Don’t force your own will onto them.   If you want to do it for them, then let them tell you what they need.

Healing Essences for Animals

The most common ‘physical’ treatments that I use with animals are essences.   These are wonderfully powerful healing tools, and very easy to administer to animals.
I use them during the healing process (for distant healing, the essences are administered energetically) and, if ongoing treatment is required, you can continue to give them to your pet quite easily.

There are several ways to administer the essence to your pet and we can work out, together, which method is most convenient and most appropriate for your pet…

Y If the daily dose coincides with mealtime, you can put a drop of essence concentrate on the food.

Y Essences can also be placed in the animal’s water bowl, if a regular intake is required.

Y You can give the dose directly into the animal’s mouth, using the dropper.   (Ensure that the dropper is well washed before putting it back into bottle.)   I prefer this method with my own doggies, as they are comfortable with me handling their mouth – even though they don’t necessarily like it too much.

Y You can also place a few drops of the essence behind the animal’s ears, and gently rub it into the skin.   Although an internal dose is generally best, it isn’t always possible.   I use this method with cats and other small animals.

essences for animalsEssences are especially effective for addressing ‘emotional’ and behavioural problems in your pet, before serious illness develops.

Changes in an animal’s behavior pattern are good early-warning signals that your pet is headed along a path of imbalance.   They can indicate the early stages of illness or can reflect a change in enviroment or circumstance which is upsetting your pet.

If acted on early, you can heal the situation with essences before it deteriorates into serious illness, or becomes a troublesome ‘mis’-behaviour pattern which can make your home-life or social life difficult.

Essences can be used to support your pet through injury and illness, releasing the trauma, assisting the healing process, and keeping them calm and comfortable through visits, or overnight stays, at the vet. Essences can also be used to support your animal through the dying process, bringing peace and completion.

Peace through the dying process
Most animals move unsupported through the dying process.   We may be with them to the physical ‘end’ but the general pet owner is unaware that the dying, or transitional, process continues for another 3 hours or so after the moment we perceive as death, as the soul releases physical energies and re-integrates.
If this process is supported energetically and/or with essences (which work on all energetic levels, at the soul level as well as the physical) it enables your pet to make a complete release and assists their soul to move forward into its next pathway without hindrance and energetic ‘mess’.

I can assist you as you support your animal through this process, whether there is a sudden and unexpected death, or whether your pet is dying from illness.
And especially when you are faced with that greatest of all challenges – the decision about euthenasia and what is best for your pet
.

We can connect with your animal and see what it most needs, and which are the best directions to take.
It is often very difficult when you are so close to your long-term friend, (and yet hugely important), to separate your own fears and emotions about the outcomes, from what your pet truly wants and needs at that time.
It is also important for you to be honest with your pet.   Share your own feelings, fears and concerns, but don’t place any loyalty pressures on it (such as ‘Please don’t die, I want you to stay with me’).

Believe it or not, your pet ‘gets’ you, and they will be better supported if they can feel where you are coming from (just like any human friend).
If you can honestly offer them the freedom to ‘go’,   if that is what they feel they need to do,   it will make it so much easier for them to feel a peace through the process
.

Your pet will also be able to communicate to you whether it is ready for euthenasia, or not.
If you tune in honestly, you will feel these responses and will know what to do.
In this way, you can respect the animal’s own timing
.

Essences are also a beautiful support for your own grief process throughout, and after, your beloved pet’s death.

Nature Healing

holistic pet care

The uncomplicated nature of animal energy means that the best way to address imbalances in an animal’s system is to work directly with Nature Intelligence.
This consciousness has a role in maintaining the form structure of the physical and energetic bodies (in both animals and humans), so what better than to go directly to the experts!

In the process of energy healing for your pet,
I connect with Nature Intelligence, with your animal’s higher self and sometimes with your own higher self, also, if that is needed.
From your pet's higher self,
I receive information about what it most requires in the way of healing, allowing nature and the animal to guide my direction.

While nature does it’s work,
I use essences, reiki and various other energy healing methods, as needed, to support your animal through the healing process.
